Please have the default browser rules apply globally

Question

I have Firefox set as my default browser in Windows 8 (mainly because IE has always been slow and bloated for me) but when I click links in Metro apps Internet Explorer is launched to display the webpages. While I am a fan of the integration, I would still think that when I click a web link, it will load in the browser I've set to be default.

If you want the other links to open in a different browser, then you have to set the "default program" in control panel to that browser so that all the associated extensions will open in the other browser. That said, if you set the default to different browser, then the new Immersive browser will no longer be available until you set the default back to Internet Explorer.
