The links there for Direct3D are all populated and a good start as are most of the
Direct2D links I see. If you're interested in Direct2d then also take a look at the
Direct2D samples. In either case you'll probably want to familiarize yourself with
general Metro style app programming first. For the most part, Direct2D for Metro style apps is similar to Direct2D for Desktop apps, so other than the hosting framework (which you can get from the samples) the desktop sample code and walkthroughs should
get you going.
