Lack of WCF and WIF 4.5 Security Changes appropriate documentation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi. we are working on a project that is a Distributed System using WCF as a Service Layer. So far we are at design phase to employ a proper security mechanism to Authenticate and Authorize service users. The problem is that we are going to design a Service layer with a security in which we should use ASP.Net Identity Foundation 2.x as the Identity management system, and so we need a mechanism to authenticate and authorize users from a variety of clients, e.g. Active Directory (within our enterprise), web clients (e.g eShops). So after some investigation, we saw the new Changes in Identity Model (WIF) in the Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5. but we see a lack of an updated WCF Samples for .Net 4.5 (currently available for .Net 4.0), and in MSDN, we see that many of the new classes does not have a code example to learn from. This made our work so hard, even we served a lot of time searching the internet for some helping docs, but they are obsolete or not updated.

could you please help us to access updated docs for WCF and WIF 4.5 integration? specially for the case i mentioned?

    Thanks in advance.
