  • How can recover database file ?

    actually during ERP upgradation database file has been replace and we have very old data backup.

    is there any way to recover files?

  • Did not you backup the database just before upgrading? If the file was replaced/upgraded  I think  you are out of luck 

    BTW you did not tell us the whole story, what is SQL Server version you are using? What is ERP upgrading means?

    According to your description, my understanding is that SQL Server database files were replaced after ERP upgradation. If anything is misunderstood, please tell me.

    If the data loss is within acceptable limits, you can use the old backup to restore your database. But since the original database files are gone, you can only recover the hard disk to recover database files to the time before ERP upgradation.

    I would recommend you to increase the frequency of backups, so that this kind of situation can be prevented.
