Workflow SQL Instance Store Database configuration RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are currently developing a solution which uses WF4, WCF and ASP.NET MVC. We have created WCF service which is handling workflow execution using WorkflowApplication. We configured SQL Persistence and currently InstanceStore is configured on a separate DB on the Development Server.

For the production deployment, do we have any specific guideline on if we should have InstanceStore as a separate database v/s we can have InstanceStore objects on one of our existing Application database?

    Thanks,

    Shirin

  • Hi Chen,

Yes. I needed the information regarding Instance Store in workflow. question I have is, Is there any specific guidelines, on if we should have it in the same database as our application database or Microsoft recommend it to have it as a separate database?

    Thanks,
