Loband: Could you please tag the language examples with different CSS classes? RRS feed

  • Question

  • This would allow custom stylesheets (e.g. Firefox Stylish extension) to provide the functionality of filtering example languages.

  • Aidan - Thanks for your feedback. We are coming up with a new design for filtering examples. I will post details at MSDN "innovtion" blogs. Please see blog on loband at http://blogs.msdn.com/innovation/archive/2009/03/26/launching-low-bandwidth-loband-beta-for-long-haul.aspx.

  • Aidan,

    You can currently do this with a GreaseMonkey script like this:

    //
    // ==UserScript==
    // @name          Msdn Language Filter
    // @namespace     http://indcomp.co.uk/download/
    // @description Hide irrelevant languages in MSDN online
    // @include       http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/*
    // @require       http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js

    // ==/UserScript==

    $("[id*=VisualBasic]").hide();
    $("[id*=_JScript]").hide();
    $("[id*=_JSharp]").hide();
    $("[id*=_ManagedCPlusPlus]").hide();
