Japanese and Chinese characters RRS feed

    Hi,

I have to replicate an English version site into japanese and Chinese versions.

The site is a typical database centric app.(it uses full text search) made with c# 2.0 and SQL Serevr 2005. I want to know if there are things I have to consider before starting.

Do I need to change something at code level (my dlls for example) to support that languages?

    Thanks in advance.

To make your life easier make sure all the strings are transmitted stored in UTF-8 format.

Make sure your database strings are using the N variety (ie: NVarChar as opposed to VarChar) and set leave the ResponseEncoding and RequestEncoding as UTF-8. Make sure your code files are saved in UTF-8 format if you have any literals in your ASPX pages.
