Documentation for the BizTalk 2016 CTP image?

Question

Is there any documentation for this image? I can install BizTalk, but I cannot understand how to access SQL Server. Am I supposed to install it myself or point BizTalk to another SQL server in the same private network?

You see that is the thing, the image does not seem to be similar to the 2013 nor the 2013R2. Very little is installed, like for instance SQL Server. So I was hoping for a slight hint or point from someone at Microsoft BizTalk, about how they think it is supposed to be used.
Mind you I have a machine running at the moment, but I would like to know if I have set it up at least somewhat right.
Hope they upgrade the documentation as well.

Thank you for your response. However you do not point to a resource that answers my question: "Is there any documentation about the BizTalk 2016 CTP2 image on Azure"?

Hi Mikael,
There is an article on Mexia site giving rundown on all the sessions presented by Microsoft and the significant announcements.
There is not much documentation available online currently as BizTalk Server 2016 RTM version is not officaialy release for public and BizTalk Server 2016 CTP2 is available on invite basis.
“BizTalk and Logic Apps better together” is the mantra underpinned by the addition of a Logic Apps adapter in the upcoming BizTalk 2016 CTP2 release and the new BizTalk Connector introduced in Logic Apps.
You can read more about it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/cloud-platform/biztalk
Microsoft Azure BizTalk Services (MABS) is likely to be deprecated as both the VETER pipelines and the EDI/B2B functionality moves into Logic Apps by way of the Enterprise Integration Pack;

Very nice of your to answer. A very good rundown of all the sessions from Integrate 2016, which I attended by the way :-)
I also understand that there is a shortage of documentation but I would like to think the guys and gals that developed the image might provide some kind of instructions as to how the image is supposed to be used.
A simple walkthru might suffice.

Hi Mikael,
There is plenty documentation about CTP2 available. If you can access it, I'm not so sure :-) You have to register via Microsoft Connect. When you do, the following documents are avaialble:
BTS2016_CTP2_EN.iso 631,44 MB
BizTalk Server 2016 - SQL Server AlwaysOn.pdf 1,31 MB
READ FIRST - License Agreement.pdf 327 KB
THIRDPARTYNOTICE (Pre_release BizTalk Server 2016).pdf 120 KB
What's New.pdf 608 KB
Hardware and Software Requirements.pdf 415 KB
New Capabilities.pdf 2,46 MB
KnownIssues.txt Regarding SQL Server, you have to install it yourself. It's available in MSDN Downloads, for instance.

You would soon find documentation released by the Microsoft Product Team as we reach closer to the Public release date of BizTalk Server 2016.
As mentioned by Kjetil, you can find some documentation available with Biztalk Server CTP2. However there is nothing specific about how to setup BizTalk Server 2016 on the Azure VM.
I personally loved the New Capabilties.pdf. Some great features introduced, few of them long awaited.
1) Dynamic ports support ordered delivery.
2) New import binding wizard.
3) Option toChoose to compile your maps using XslTransform or XslCompiledTransform.
4) SFTP adapter enhancements.
5) Option to Configure the settings for multiple hosts/host instances simultaneously etc.
Coming to your question, Configuring BizTalk Server 2016 would be similiar to Configuring BizTalk Server 2013 and 2013 R2 on an Azure VM.You would only get a Biztalk Server VM, and not the DEV environment. SQL Server and Visual Studio are not installed on this virtual machine, an existing SQL Server virtual machine is needed. In that case you would need to get another VM to host SQL Server or you can also consider installing SQL Server locally.
You can refer: Create & Configure BizTalk Server 2013 VM in Windows Azure

I think you have to be a registered Microsoft Connect Member to be able to see and select the image in Azure.
