  • When deploying a OOB Lightswitch app to Azure I hit the http://www.../client to get the latest version and it shows the "Update successful" message so I try and run it from the start menu.  Then it shows this again, after closing and restarting it always keeps downloading the latest version and never runs the app.

    Interestingly the only way I have found to get it to run, after many different variations, is to run the app with Windows XP Sp3 compatibility mode on.

    This is running on

    A Cloud Service (South East Asia)
    Windows 8 (in NZ)
    Microsoft LightSwitch for Visual Studio 2012

    Even when I created a new Lightswitch app with one page, deployed to a Azure Web Instance it had the same problem.

    I'm thinking the client silverlight deployment is somehow broken.
