  • Hi Cheran,

    Thank you for posting here!

This problem can occur if one of the following conditions is true:

    • The Windows Installer files that are on your hard disk are damaged or are missing.
    • You install or remove a program that uses the Windows Installer Microsoft Software Installation (MSI) package file (.msi).
    • You have MS update KB3139923 installed, which broke the MSI Installer:

Work around to fix this issue:

    • Click Start, type Services.msc and press ENTER.
    • Right side panel scroll down & find Windows Installer service.
    • Double click on Windows Installer.
    • Set the Startup type of Windows Installer to Manual.
    • Right click on the service and click Start to start the service.
    • Click OK.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Pradeep

  • Hi Pradeep,

    Thanks for your update.

I have tried as below link,

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2642495

    http://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/how-to-fix-the-windows-installer-service-could-not-be-accessed-error/

Now, Windows installer issue resolved and access denied occurs.

Unhandled Exception: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Access is denied
       at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo startInfo)
       at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start()
       at ConsoleApplication5.Program.Main(String[] args)

Please suggest me to resolve this.

Note: I have run cmd process that contains "net start MSIServer" in azure portal.

    Regards,

    Cheran
