Change printerproperties permanently RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    I'm looking for a way to display the printerproperties dialog and save changes to the properties (Duplex, papersize, orientation etc.) permanently.
    So changes will be maintained also on the reboot of the PC

    So far I had some success using printDlg and DocumentProperties - but all changes to the printer settings I make there dont persist

    I use VC++2010

  • Hi Heinz,

    Thanks for your post in the MSDN Forum.

    As far as I know, PRINTDLGEX structure contains information that the PrintDlgEx function uses to initialize the Print property sheet. After the user closes the property sheet, the system uses this structure to return information about the user's selections.

    Acoording to the sample codes on this page , I was able to display the print property sheet. After making some modification, the sheet will be displayed the same as last save.

    I suggest you pay more attention to the PRINTDLGEX structure, and refer to the sample routine for more useful information.

    Best regards,
