Copy list item and get the new cloned item guid in SharePoint Workflow 2010

    Question

  • Copy item in 'Current Item' to 'My list'

Is it possible to get guid of the newly created item in the next step?

My requirement is that when it copies the item i need to change a few fields in the newly copied item like status etc.

please suggest any alternative. Thank you

  • Hi CBZS,

There is no OOB way to get the id of the new copied item.

For this requirement, you could use “Create List Item” action to create a new item in the target list and set properties for new item one by one.

Or you could create a workflow on the target list to edit its properties and set the workflow to be started automatically when an item is created.
