Office Online Server displaying a grease mark in Word browse mode RRS feed

  • Hi,

    We have install Office Online Server on the SharePoint 2016 on-premises. Some Word document displaying a grease mark in browse mode. But it will not display on edit mode.

    How can I hidden the grease mark in browse mode?

    To troubleshoot the issue, check things below:

    1. Clear IE cache.

    2. Take a backup of the problematical word documents, delete the word documents in the document library and re-upload the word documents in the document library.

    3. Upload the problematical documents in the document library.

    Tried to Clear IE cache and re-upload the word documents, but the same issue still appear. Any other idea? Many thanks.

    To troubleshoot the issue, switch to another browser.

    And you also could reset IE settings. Go to IE->internet options->advanced tab->reset.
