Developing android app with xamarin using visual studio 2015 Pro


  • I have a problem with my visual studio,

    1>C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Xamarin\Android\Xamarin.Android.Common.targets(1832,3): error MSB6006: "aapt.exe" exited with code -1073741819.

    1>C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Xamarin\Android\Xamarin.Android.Common.targets(1858,3): error MSB3375: The file "obj\Debug\android\bin\packaged_resources" does not exist.

    How can I get rid of this problem, please help out guys

    Thank you for your post.

    Firstly, please go to Control Panel >Programs >Programs and Features, Select Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 and click on 'Modify', to check if you have already installed Cross Platform Mobile development tools and components. 

    Secondly, we need to confirm whether the cause of the issue is pending on VS or your project.

    How about creating a new project the same type as your old one?

    If the error message still shows, please repair your VS via Control Panel.
