.net framework 4 install error Windows 7 64bit RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    I am trying to install Microsoft visual c# 2010, it fails on the .net portion

    so I have tried the standalone .net istaller

    .net framework 4 onto windows 7 64 bit

    using dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64 downloaded from

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0a391abd-25c1-4fc0-919f-b21f31ab88b7&displaylang=en

    I have updated windows today, control panel shows no other .net installed, and I have run the dot net fx cleanup tool.

    It says there is a problem with Windows installer, but I checked, the service is running, and everything else works.

    Any tips?

    thanks,

    Dave
