change root - userDeploymentRoot RRS feed

  • currently when running test all project running in a new folder c:\X\MySloution\TestResults\

    i want them to deploy and run at c:\x\TestResults (but relative from MySolution - not to write c:\x) - >..\..\TestResults

    if i try to wrote in the xml

    <Deployment userDeploymentRoot="..\TestResults"/>

    it goes to c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7

    any idea how to make it works.?

  • Hello,

    In order to activate UserDeploymentRoot, you need to add another attribute to your test run config file: useDefaultDeploymentRoot="false". After that you can also reopen the solution/restart VS, just in case. I wonder how you discovered about userDeploymentRoot, apparently that places should've also said about useDefaultDeploymentRoot.
