Using Enterprise Library for first time RRS feed

    Hi,

I wan to use the enterprise library for the first time. Is there any samples, quick start guide or ebook is available for a quick start and learn the basics.

I have vs2008, so which version of EL should I use?

And if somebody can just brief about Enterprise Library. Because as per my understanding, is this a mixture of design patterns and some pre-made blocks of source code.

    Thanks.

    Munish,

Check out resources on the Enterprise Library community site - http://entlib.codeplex.com. There's a whole section there (named "LEARN") with links to the Dev Guide, hands-on labs, demos, FAQs, videos and other resources. The forum there is also active and is monitored by the Enterprise Library support team on the daily basis.

With VS2008, use v4.1 (it will give you the config tool integrated).

Version 5 will support both VS2008 and VS2010. You can get Beta1 from codeplex as well: http://entlib.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=EntLib5%20Beta1

    Happy learning! Happy coding!

Better use EL 4.1. This is quite easy to use. Specially in data accessings
