    This is more a question for the Windows Server  >  Directory Services forums but here's some quick information for you:

    The FSMO (Flexible Single Master Operations) roles:

    • Schema Master
    • Domain Naming Master 
    • Relative ID (RID) Master 
    • Primary Domain Controller (PDC) Emulator
    • Infrastructure Master

    Group Policy Objects (GPOs) are predefined commands, scripts and task execution templates that control Windows operating systems. It helps IT administrators to manage both windows systems and users.
