I have a document tracking database where fellow coworkers create / log in documents they want tracked.  I would like to have Access to email the creator if the document has not bin opened / viewed after 5 days.  Can that be done?  If so how?

  • Good morning Kristy! This forum is for helping customers interoperating with Windows via our open protocol documentation. Your issue does not appear to be related to our protocol documentation; it does look like a technical support question.

Here are several links that should be of help to you:

o Help & Support Home' at http://support.microsoft.com/ (there are 'Self Support Options' available on this page).

o 'Select a Product for Assistance' at http://support.microsoft.com/gp/assistsupport

o The Microsoft Knowledge Base at http://support.microsoft.com/search/

On onother note, I believe the VBA 'SendObject' function is what you need. There is a raft of links to helpful code libraries and sample code available - I searched on Google for 'microsoft access VBA send email' and 'microsoft SendObject email', and got plenty of promising hits.
