  • Question

  • Hi,

    I have implemented required end-points for WOPI protocol to Integrate with office online.

    I have got all solutions except this update file scenario, I have successfully implemented Co-authoring in this integration but it only works for Excel and Powerpoint. It doesn't work with Word files, Can anyone help me with this?

    Or any suggestions for the same ?

    Here is my CheckFileInfo json response to WOPI client(i.e. Office Online) :

    "SupportsExtendedLockLength":"true",

    "UserCanWrite":"true",

    "UserCanNotWriteRelative":"true",

    "UserId":"Virpatel_1468930596745",

    "Version":"8",

    "SupportsUpdate":"true",

    "Size":15163,

    "BaseFileName":"test abesdf.docx"

  • Just to follow up with you on this thread, you have the trace information you need and will get the correlation information from the partner program folks to identify the issue (since you can't use the on-prem install). If you have any trouble getting a response, just let me know. For now we will consider this forum thread closed.

  • Hi Vir_vekaria,

    This is the forum to discuss questions and feedback for Office 365 for Developers,  I'll move your question to the MSDN forum for Office Protocols :

    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=os_office

    The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Vir_vekaria,

    First question is what are you actually integrating with, Office Online or Office Online Server 2016 (on-premise)? If Office Online as in, the cloud version, then you should be part of the cloud storage partner program and will need to be white-listed to integrate.

    If using the on-premise version, then this is the right place to ask the question.

    Have you followed the Id, AccessToken and locking requirements here?:

    https://wopi.readthedocs.io/projects/wopirest/en/latest/concepts.html#key-concepts

    Is Word editing working for you?

    Also, the SupportsCoauth value for CheckFileInfo has been deprecated. So hosts shouldn't use this:

    https://wopi.readthedocs.io/projects/wopirest/en/latest/files/CheckFileInfo.html#term-supportscoauth

    (see the bottom of the page)

    If so, can you provide a fiddler trace of the conversation between your host and Office Online Server? That would help to determine what is happening. Just send it to dochelp@microsoft.com, referencing the URL for this thread and my name and I will take a look.
