Our sites/app are suddenly gone...Why? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our site www.jumbletscom is suddenly not accessible. Neither the production site nor staging site is responding on http or https. I can log on the instances by remote desktop though. They are not accessible on the address www.jumbletscom or the cloudapp address http://jumbletmainsite.cloudapp.net/

    The site went offline about an hour ago and I have no clue what to do? :/

  • Hi Trubadur;

    The site should be up and working now. As you correctly mentioned a new deployment might help get this issue sorted. Please revert back for any queries.

  • Hi Trubadu,

    We are experiencing  an interruption to Cloud Services and Virtual Machines in multiple regions and possible other Azure Services. Apparently because of an OS/ MAINTENANCE deployment that is going on Websites and Automation service have also been confirmed to have been impacted. I will keep you posted on the development. Apologize for the inconvenience.

    Regards

  • Thanks for the reply.

    The site has been down now for more than 3 hours. :( ....That's pretty bad to say the least :(

    Guess I'll just have to go to bed now and hope the problem is gone tomorrow. :/

  • Same thing again. The site is offline again since about 30 minutes. This time I can access the staging site but not the production site. I thought the problems were solved. :(

  • Now I swapped so that the production site is working now but the staging site is not.

  • Hm....seems the application's DataCacheFactory gotten in to a bad state all of a sudden. It throws the exception "ErrorCode<ERRCA0017>:SubStatus<ES0006>:There is a temporary failure"

    on every page request for some reason. :/ ...

    So I guess it was something wrong with the client in this case. Hopefully a new deployment will solve the issue.
