WinJS semanticZoom Object doesn't support property or method 'itemFromDescription'

Question

I get this error "Object doesn't support property or method 'itemFromDescription'" on line 48893 winjs.js "  itemPromise = this._dataSource.itemFromDescription(description);"

I get this error when I zoom in or out. All ref I find regarding this error are to do with grouping the listviews. In fact all examples of semantic zoom use groupded listviews. do I need to use grouped listviews?

Any help on this error? thanks
