What happens to messages exceeding daily limit? RRS feed

  • The number of messages sent to my IoThub has exceeded the 400K limit for a couple of days and I have increased the limit to 800K now. What happened to the messages that arrived after the limit was reached. Are they lost or can they be recovered?

  • The messages will be discarded.

  • It's more that the messages were never ingested by IoT Hub in the first place - the device should have received a 429 Throttled error.
