Kinect Studio for data recording RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I just downloaded the latest version of Kinect SDK 1.5, I found that the data can be saved only in .xed format.

Is there any other way to store those content?

In fact, I want to store those information separately,  like a sequence of color frames, a sequence of depth frames...  etc.

(actually, I've modify the SkeletalViewer sample code to store some information I need in v1.0, but the skeleton tracking performance in the version is not so good

    in near mode)

btw, I also found that I can not run two app (as the sample exe files SkeletalViewer and  SingleFace) simultaneously,

does the only way to tackle this issue is combining two modules into one?

    Thanks so much!!

    No.

You can manipulate the data inside the file if you understand it though.

Yes you might have to combine the two but face tracking might require some testing around to get working properly.

Hint: I have found out that moving out of view from kinect allows you to reset it so it will turn your passive skeleton into an active one if using multiple people in your app.
