  • Hi Venkat ,

Connect SharePoint Dashboard Designer to Oracle directly is not possible .You can try this two workarounds .

    1.       You can use SQL Server Integration Services and get Oracle data into SQL Server. Then you can get connected with SQL Server Data Source .

    2.       Or you can create an external content type to connect to Oracle database and then create an external list using the external content type .Then you can connect the dashboard designer tot eh list as data source .

For more information about how to connect the Business Connectivity Services to Oracle database ,you can refer to this site:

  • I'm confused.  Why is the infrastructure there to create an Oracle Data Connection if it doesn't work?

  • Have you tried installing .NET Managed Provider for Oracle, Oracle client on all servers and configured TNS?

  • Sorry, didn't notice that it's Performance Point Dashboard Designer. I believe you can connect to Oracle data source for data views while designing SSAS cube.
