How to map my sites to CDN storage accounts?

  • Steve Marx has a post explaining how to do what you want - mapping custom domains to the CDN endpoint. He refers to the old portal but the process is the same.

  • Thanks for that link. He explains the process pretty well. What if we have more than 5 sites? Currently I see that one subscription has a limit of 5 strorage accounts. If I create 5 storage accounts for 5 sites, what would be the process for the 6th site?

  • I believe you need to talk to Microsoft to get additional storage accounts.

  • Yes, see "Request a Quota Increase" here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsazure/support/.

    BTW, my walkthrough is for the old portal.  The new (Silverlight) portal has a different UI, but the steps are the same in spirit.

  • Good to know that I have the option to incease the quota if I wanted to. The new UI is much slicker and I followed your walkthrough on the new portal without any issues.  Thank you.
