the app package must be digitally signed for signature validation RRS feed

  • Question

  • This error occurs when I run "add-appxpackage" in Power Shell.

How can I sign my application? (I use JS/HTML/CSS for windows 8 applications)

  • How are you creating the application? Are you trying to sign it with VS or are you building outside of VS?

See Packaging and deployment tools and PowerShell cmdlets for an overview of the tools and methods used to package and sign apps.

  • Hi,

I have same problem, I deploy a test version and I try on another pc for testing all work fine. but I create a new Microsoft Account directly on my pc but with this user I got:

    Found package: C:\Deploy\******_1.1.0.1_AnyCPU_Test\******_1.1.0.1
Error: The package is not digitally signed or its signature is corrupted.
    Press Enter to continue...:

BUT same package, I'm able to install on my Dev account BUT not with my new Test Account (ON same PC) ?!?

    What I miss ?

    (I deploy with VS2012)
