Making Store App DPI Aware RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am making an Store App in 8.1 and I have adjusted most of the controls according to it but the view gets ruined when seen in  different screen sizes i.e. 2560x1440-10.6'' and 2560x1440-27''. The ListView wraps items wrongly and FontSize is too small in 27'' and also images are very small in 27'' size. I have adjusted the images according to resolution of the device. Is there any other way so that it looks fine and App is DPI aware? The effect needs to be same on both screens. First is smaller screen and second is larger. Can anybody provide some sample which can explain properly?1366x768 image2560x1440-27''

  • If you want the exact same layout just scored up or down then put your controls in a ViewBox.

This may make the app in usable on high DPI or low DPI systems. In general you're better off letting the layout change to use the resolution differences: Scale up for higher DPI but show more data for larger screen sizes relative to DPI.
