How Windows 8 should be RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just got a new laptop with Windows 8 64 bit.

Windows setup for "Out of the box computers" should go like:

    A) Install Windows

    B) Download all recommended and optional updates

    C) Have the user plug in 1 by 1 all their P&P hardware and install appropriate drivers from mfg's or Microsoft.

    D) Go thru all the control panel items to allow the user to setup everything to their liking.

    E) Setup User Accounts

    F) Backup windows

    G) User installs all their programs ( each program should install entirely in its own directory for backup purposes.)

    H) Backup the Programs

    I) Backup the User Accounts

    J) Have fun with your new computer!!!

The problem is a lot of programs write *.dll's and other files to the the \Windows dir.

They shouldn't be allow to do that except for the registry.. Maybe their should be two registries one for windows and one for user programs..

Windows 8 is missing the Aero scheme , the Windows 7, adjustable opacity (transparency adjustment), on the window frames,

is pleasing to the eye and should be put back into Windows 8..
