Date/Time is not updated after enabling RTC from the source code?? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Developers,

I have observed that after selecting the date and correct time and time zone and when I reboot the system, its not upto date. It uses the default date and time but the time zone is upto date???

I don't know what is the issue now even that I have selected the proper RTC, RFS is ROM only and persistent Hive Registry Storage is also enable. Why its not updating after reset, I am confused ???

  • Time is not stored statically to disk, that clearly wouldn't make sense, would it?

Time must be kept by a battery backed external to the CPU Real Time Clock (RTC).  Your OAL does not seem to do that.  Why it doesn't is something only you can answer.  Does your board include an external RTC? Did you, or your team, implement the OAL code?
