Remove duplicates values in a refiner in refinement panel

Hi,

I have a content search webpart which return some search results.

Now i have added  a refinement panel and added a refiner which is a site column say (ProductName). ProductName contains a constant value like (Television)

But, in refinement panel Television is showing twice. Ideally it should come once.

And also total 30 results are coming , 28 under first and 2 under second.

How to remove duplicate value from refiner ?

Hi Yesh,

Refinement of a text field is unique, which means each phrase will have only one entry in the refinement.

Can you check the input, the mapped crawled properties, just to make sure that Television is written the same in all content sources? Maybe there's a hidden char somewhere..

HI,

There were no hidden characters.

I deleted the refinement webpart and inserted a new one

and than added new refiners. It worked now!!!!!
