Error 500 accessing LS Desktop Client Web RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I get an error when I access my LS Desktop Client Web application. The application is created using VS2013 update 3.

    I have published the application to an IIS 8.5  running on Windows 2012R2. I use IE 10 to access the application. The IIS returns this error message:

    500 - Internal server error.

    There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be
    displayed.

    In the problem solving process I published the application as a LS HTML Client application using the same publishing settings as before. Now the application works!

    is the problem something about Silverlight? am I missing some requirements?

    /Frederick

  • Hi,

    Desktop client, three-tier deployment creates an application that runs on the end-user’s Windows desktop;

    the database and server components run on a server that runs IIS or on Azure.You couldn't access a desktop application by using IE.

    For how to Deploy a Three-Tier LightSwitch Application,please see link below:

    Best Regards,
