ui automation interfaces for Metro WinRT RRS feed

  • Hi Great Wall,

These are used for providing UIAutomation clients with data.   You will not be able to make a Metro app that works as a UIAutomation Client, since this requires greater permissions that are allowed for these types of apps, but this interface allows you to create custom controls which specify additional AutomationPatterns and Events to emit.  You'll notice that many of the patterns, such as the AnnotationPatternIdentifiers, there aren't actually classes in XAML that use this yet... they are there for folks implementing custom automation providers.

You can see an example of a custom AutomationProvider in the Accessibility SDK sample as well.

    Hope this helps,

    Matt
