How to get the ST02 RRS feed

  • Question

  •

We are looking at how we can get the transaction set control number found in the ST02 so that we can write this to a custom logging table for our various transactions. Is there any approach built into R2 that would enable this - it would have to work with batched messages too?

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

BAM is used by the EDI functionality to store this kind of information and create reports.

If you activate the EDI reporting for your partners, then query the BamPrimeryImoirt database with:

    select * from dbo.bam_TransactionSetActivity_AllInstances

You should see detailed information regarding the transaction sets that have been processed.

One option could be to pull the information from this talbe, and push it into your own DB.

(You may actually find that the BAM activities give you all the reporting info you need, it's easy to query the views to see the status of the transactions and interchanges, and there are also some reports on the Group Hub page in the admin consile).

    Regards,

    Alan

  • The ST segment is included in the EDI schema. Promote/distinguish this element and use it.
