  • I am working on a project where i have to format USB (high level formatting )?/ how it is done?

    any windows API are avaailable or any sample code??

  • You mean format a USB drive?

    It's a drive.

    You format them like other drives.

    It's usually considered very bad form for an application to format drives though.

    YES!

    If an application formatted my USB memory stick ..

    ... one of three things would happen and none of the three things would be very pretty!!

     

    ... the four thing that would happen would be a full restore from back up!!

  • I want to integrate Formatting feature in to my GUI... so i want is there any API available ?? bcoz i have block USB from explorer... and it will access only through my GUI.

  • There is no as such problem with win32 api... i just wan to study some demo code and then i will construct my own.. Thsty i want some open source code for formatting
