System.Windows.Input.Touch and Windows phone 8.1 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

In new Windows phone 8.1 SDK I can't find System.Windows.Input.Touch class. In page pointed out that it is supported in WP8.1. How can I add it to my program? Or what alternative to detecting multitouch gestures?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Gregory,

In Windows Phone 8.1, there are two kinds of apps:Windows Phone Silverlight 8.1 app and Windows Phone Runtime 8.1 app. The System.Windows.Input.Touch is supported in the Windows Phone Silverlight 8.1 app, but it is not supported in the Windows Phone Runtime 8.1 app.

So if you can want to use the System.Windows.Input.Touch, please try to use the Windows Phone Silverlight 8.1 app.

For detecting multitouch gestures in the Windows Phone Silverlight 8.1, maybe you can try to refer to the following articles:
