Windows 8.1 will not boot after setting up dual-boot with Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon RRS feed

  • In which forum should I ask this question?

After installing Linux Mint onto a partition of my hard drive, Windows 8.1 is listed a choice to boot into after restarting my computer, but will not boot up. It suggests a boot repair and to obtain Windows 8.1 from my distributor. I have seen on other forums that this has not worked, and I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions for how to proceed.

    Thanks in advance.
