Azure CDN over Hosted Service (MVC3 Web Role) not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I've successfully created a new CDN endpoint that points to a http://my-app.cloudapp.net/cdn/ (Production Hosted Service). I'm keeping some static HTML/CSS/IMAGE/JS files there.

My default CDN HTTP endpoint is azXXXXXX.vo.msecnd.net - the problem is that... I'm getting a 400 Bad Request, when attempting to view/get the index.html file or any other file.

It's been over 2hrs... and i still get the 400 error...

Any ideas on what the issue might be?

    Cheers,

    Carlos

  • Hi Ming,

After a long phone call and a couple of e-mail with MS support the CDN endpoint now works (black screen is Ok). I sitll don't have any details on what was wrong... the CDN just started working.

    Cheers,

    Carlos

  • Hi,

Just to eliminate the obvious. If you try to access the file directly from the web role without CDN, does it work? Can you make sure the CDN’s address is correct? Furthermore, when you get the 400 response, do you get any detailed error messages?

    Best Regards,

    Ming Xu.

  • Hi Ming,

Yes, it does work... when i open http://my-frontend-app.cloudapp.net/cdn/, the index.html file opens by default and I can click around and browse my static website!

Here's the real CDN URL, you can even see it for yourself:

    http://az72903.vo.msecnd.net/

(i get this back in firebug: "NetworkError: 400 Bad Request - http://az72903.vo.msecnd.net/")

    Cheers,

  • Hi,

I just tried http://az72903.vo.msecnd.net/index.html, and I was able to access the web page. Although the page is black (possibly due to some CSS affect). Can you try it again?

If it still doesn't work on your side, please contact our customer support on https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=14928&st=1&wfxredirect=1&sd=gn. Give them your subscription ID and information related to your CDN.

    Best Regards,

    Ming Xu.
