  • Question

  • what is the latest news with silverlight and 3D.

I dont see any plans lately about SL and 3D capabilities for the future.

I want to make 3D games and if SL has no plans to be able to do this then Flex it is..

  • Hi Mexican,

As far as I know, 3D support will be enhanced significantly in Silverlight 5. However, I cannot show you the details. Thanks for your understanding.

  • Are you sure? All I am reading is that there are no plans because this inflates the plugin size to an nth degree.

If there is 3D support it wouldnt be a silverlight framework but integrates better with a 3rd library.

Is this true? DOnt know if this amounts to making 3D games

  • I am not sure whether MS will improve this or not, but we can use 3rd library.

I see this in a internal ppt document.  As I said on my reply, it should be a enhancement or improvement.  But how far it goes now, I haven't test it and not see a document show the details.  Therefore, I cannot assure you this.  Thanks for your understanding.
