The storage account 'dsihosted8635' was not found.

    Question

  • Getting error  The storage account 'dsihosted8635' was not found when trying to set current storage account in azure powershell.

Also getting same type of error when trying to copy vhd Save-AzureVhd -Source *********** in azure powershell.

I can clearly see if in my portal also my VMs have there disks saved to it

What I am trying to do is download my current VHD to my local computer.

  • Hi,

Which portal you are using the classic portal or the new Portal ?

  • From what I can tell it looks like the new Portal.

  • What steps did you follow? Have you looked at this article https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/storage-powershell-guide-full/? The "Getting Started with Powershell in 5 minutes" section should help.
