Do i need full blown IIS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Not sure if this is the correct forum but happy for a mod to move it if required.

I would be developing a WCF service implementing

    UserNamePasswordValidator

For this and from my research i need to use a certificate. Since the web service would be used for public applications connecting from Windows phone etc i think it should be ok to have a self cert on the server and then possibly link it to the applications/ or code the application to use this service with the required credentials.

So i would like to test/develop this with Visual Studio 2015 Community edition but in the past i usually have to install IIS on my local machine and then do my development. Does Visual Studio 2015 have a way to use the built in IIS which supports certificates in this manner or is the only way to do this is to install the full blown IIS?
