Client Server Security settings .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration tool RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I have an client/server application that I need to be able to run from a client shortcut and have the exe and all other resources on the server.

Presently, I get an error as the .Net Security is not set.

I have been playing with the .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration tool and have been able to 'Kluge' the permissions through the URL route but it is not petty.

This route uses a mapped drive or share path like:

    'File:////ServerName/ShareName/*' permission set 'Full Trust'

This seem so wrong that I had to post.
