Issues setting up a receive port in BizTalk 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Thank you for reading. I am have a supplier who has exposed a web service to me which uses basic authentication. I can connect to it using postman and make requests fine.

Now I am trying to set this up in BizTalk 2013 and have 2 issues.

    1. When I use the WCF-WebHTTP type I get the following error:

    2. Under Transport if i choose a Transport security type of 'Basic. I have no option to enter the username and password which has been specified to me from the supplier.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Jay

  • I think i fixed the first issue by putting a '/'.

  • By using a forward slash you are indicating that "api" is a folder on the web server
IIRC you need the name of the service (the program/page) for the request

The path "axuat/api" can be perfectly valid

  • Thanks Peter.

If i replace the URI as "axuat/api"  where do i put the http://19...

Coming from a SSIS background so apologies if my questions seem basic/lack of understanding.

My WCF-WebHttp window expects a service endpoint unlike the below which i do not have.

  • No you need the complete address
Been too long since I have configured these

This article suggests a REST type interface
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj572859.aspx

URI is the server/service adddress and in bindings tab you create the operation used
