    The one difference is that the other does not bring results, any location in Brazil is not returning, is already out! See the XML!

  • I'm having the same problem. One thing you can notice is, even from my machine I can get the good result if I use some proxy to access. But its not IP specific problem becouse the same issue occours when I access it from my RackSpace server (from any datacenter, I asked the support to try it out. He tried from his workstation from some non-rackspace US machine too).

    So, I think its only some server that is with this bug, and all Brazilian trafic is directed to it.

    I do not know what to do about it, started on 14/09 at 22:00, and there is no supportfor complaints, I sent many emails but no response.
    Is to change the server and do testing with others?

  • I'm having a similar problem. If I click toward the upper left corner of Brazil, it will bring back address data (for example here: "http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/v1/Locations/-0.175780974247104,-68.203125?key=myKey". However, if I click elsewhere in Brazil (say, here: "http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/v1/Locations/-11.0059044596595,-50.625?key=myKey", nothing is returned.

    Another problem I have is that there are times when the wrong address is returned. I clicked South Africa for example (http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/v1/Locations/-29.1430314198111,24.1369225118488?key=myKey), and the address returned was in Libya (and Egypt at times). In order to test that it wasn't a problem with my code, I added a pushpin at the location that I'm sending to the service and the pushpin was added in the correct spot (plus it's working fine in other areas like the US).

    This is the code I'm using to return the location on click (in the map's mouse click event):

    Dim l As New Microsoft.Maps.MapControl.Location

    l = MapWithPolygon.ViewportPointToLocation(e.ViewportPoint)

    Any help/advice would be appreciated.

  • Up. Any news? Some one getting right results for Brazil?
    Wednesday, September 21, 2011 5:22 PM
  • I am experiencing the same problem here by reverse geocoding a lat/long in Australia.

  • I am experiencing the same problem here by reverse geocoding a lat/long in Australia.

    Make that two of us.

    Just as an observation. I can get results for some points in the northern hemisphere but not in the southern hemisphere.

    eg. points in Greece and USA work but not in Australia or New Zealand

    Could just be a fluke though.
