windows service start_pending RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to start a service in c++ application .

    Here is the properties of that service after calling the service start function .

      dwCheckPoint = 0
      svcStatus.dwWaitHint =0
      svcStatus.dwCurrentState = 2

    How it can be a valid scenario ,where service is in pending state with dwCheckPoint = 0 , svcStatus.dwWaitHint =0  .

    Is there now any way i can check how much time it need to get to start state ?
