Visual Studio deployment to azure with publish profile is taking too much time RRS feed

We have a big MVC .net application. We are deploying our application to azure using publish profiles which are downloaded from azure portal.
Since our application is a huge one, deployments are taking too much time. And this is not acceptable since customers will be unable to visit site at that time.
Is there any way to publish only changed files?
Or any other way to speed up the deployments?

I have tried publishing to stage slot and then swapping slots.

But sometimes swapping gives errors or takes quite much time either.

    Hi kkbb,

As far as I know, the visual studio web deploy will only publish changed files by default.

You could see below image, it only update the modified file.

I suggest you could check you don't select the remove all the files  setting when you publish your web application.

    Best Regards,
