Proximity Devices not detected in Windows 8

    Question

  • i am using below code to determine default device. But it is returning 'null' always.

    var device = Windows.Networking.Proximity.ProximityDevice.getDefault();

    P.S:- for PeerFinder.alternateIdentites its 'add' method does not appear in VS express 2012 for Windows.

  • however we can use bluetooth to connect with  other device using findAllPeersAsync() ,but it results in error.

    While the same thing works fine for windows phone which is not having an NFC device.
