Can a group instead of an user be assigned as an tenant subscription owner? RRS feed

  • Question

  • to MAS developers and TP users,

Hi, I have a question here.

When you create a tenant subscription from azure stack admin portal, you have to choose an user.

Is it possible to choose a group instead of an user?

It seems not to be possible, but I just want it to be clarified.

    Thank you.

  • Hi Ktaki,

when you create a subscription, it will always be associated with a single user. that is a requirement. However, through RBAC, you can assign groups to the Owner Role in that subscription or RGs within. Users from those groups will get the appropriate level of access to that scope.

    Hope that helps!

  •  Hi Shri,

Thanks for your reply. I am going to use RBAC from now on.
