Microsoft ODBC Administrator RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've Encountered a runtime Error in my VB Error -2147467259(80004005)' regarding the [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager], I've checked Administrative Tools and found that the Setup Routines for the ODBC Driver could not be found and needs to be re installed.

Is there a site where I can grab a copy of the Installer?

  • Not sure exactly what you are referring to. Can you successfully run the Data Sources (ODBC) applet in Control Panel? If so, which ODBC driver are you using in your app?

  • OK, so you can run the Data Sources (ODBC) applet in Control Panel but it tells you that setup routines for the Excel ODBC driver could not be found? Is this correct?

  • If you are running 64-bit Windows and your app is running 64-bit then you probably need the 64-bit drivers. They are installed with the Microsoft Access Database Engine:
