    what is the best practices to store Landset Data in SQL Server? volume of data should grow up to 100 TB

    Probably not to.

    Store the metadata in the database with external paths to the actual data.

    Even with thumbnails that should keep the database well under 1tb, and you can manage the data and backups of that data separately.

    Of course it also depends heavily on just what you plan to *do* with the data, what kinds of access will be made, and by what kinds of apps.
